SocialVolt is seeking Ruby Developers with a passion for test and behavior-driven development. We are strong believers in agile software development. Ideal candidates will have a desire to build a fantastic experience that users will enjoy and find easy to use. Candidates should also feel comfortable participating in product ideation, design and planning discussions.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality web applications using Ruby on Rails
• Ensure that the SocialVolt platform is built with the best solutions for scalability, availability and security
• Provide input into selecting the right technologies for the job at hand
• Work within a dynamic agile environment

Requirements

• 1-3+ years of Ruby on Rails development
• Knowledge of web stack technologies such as jQuery, HTML/CSS and MySQL/PostgreSQL
• Strong grasp of Javascript fundamentals and its object-oriented programming model
• Unit testing: TestUnit, RSpec
• Automated Integration: Cucumber, Webrat, Capybara, Selenium
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Some Unix or Linux experience
• Computer Science or equivalent degree
• Hard working and driven by challenge
